Geographical Features

Located in the north-central part of Nara Prefecture and the east- central part of the Nara Basin. The Meihan National Highway, which connects the Hanshin Area with Chukyo, and the Nishi Meihan Expressway run through the northernmost part of the city. To the south is the Keinawa Expressway, which runs toward Wakayama. In addition, with the JR Manyo Mahoroba line, which runs from north to south and the Kintetsu line, which runs west, Tenri is a key hub of transportation.
