Arakawa City is located in the northeast of 23 wards in Tokyo. The City Office (Arakawa 2-chome) is located at 35° 43’ 58” N, 139° 47’11” E.

Arakawa City stretches east-west, with the Sumida River flowing along the city’s northeastern area, and includes areas such as Minami-Senju, Arakawa, Machiya, Higashi-Ogu, Nishi-Ogu, Higashi-Nippori and Nishi-Nippori.
