Yangzhou is situated in central Jiangsu at the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It sits within the region that ties the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta,and the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt.
