Geographic features

Located roughly in the center of the Japanese archipelago. Faces the Sea of Japan to the north, and is surrounded by the Tateyama Mountain Range of Japan’s Northern Alps, famous for the giant walls of snow at “Yuki no Otani” and the Kurobe Gorge. The prefecture is evenly distributed in a 50 km radius around Toyama City.

Chemical engineering, nonferrous metals manufacturing, metal products manufacturing, industrial machines and equipment manufacturing, etc.
