Geographic features

Gyeongsangbuk-do is located in the southeast region of the Korean peninsula. Its eastern shore borders the East Sea. It is bordered by the provinces of Gangwon-do and Chungcheongbuk-do to the north, Chungcheongbuk-do and Jeollabuk-do to the west, and Gyeongsangnam-do and the city of Ulsan to the south. It has a distinct continental climate with four well-defined seasons.
