Geographical features

Katsuragi City is located in the northwestern part of Nara Prefecture and has plains spreading towards to the east and contains the mountain ranges that extend from Mt. Nijō to Mt. Katsuragi.
Katsuragi City is linked by train (Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line, Kintetsu Gose Line, JR Wakayama Line) with Kyoto and Osaka and is approx. 30 minutes away from Osaka city, or approx. 60 minutes away from Kansai International Airport.
It is also approx.15 minutes by car from Osaka- Matsubara JCT (Nishi-Meihan Expressway) to the nearest Katsuragi IC (Minami-Hanna Road).
