Nara Saho College is located at the foot of Mt. Takamado and customers can see the complete view of the towns and the Five-story Pagoda of Kofuku-ji Temple through the large windows of Restaurant Rokuyaon.
The gentle skyline of the Ikoma Mountain Range is seen ahead, and a blue sky hunches over and spread widely.

Customers can see the cherry trees on the campus in full bloom in spring and the beautiful flight paths of fireflies early in summer, and the sunset view of Mt. Ikoma is superb.
Red leaves surround the area in autumn, and it is harvest time for the agricultural farm of the college. In calm winter, the air is clear and the restaurant commands an outstanding view.

It is said that Bodhisena, an Indian Buddhist scholar as well as a monk, named the area Rokuyaon compared to the holy land of Sarnath in his homeland.
Yamanobe-no-Michi Trail, which is said to be the oldest walking course in Japan, extends to Miwa on the east foot of the mountains, and a large number of historic sites, including shrines, temples, and ancient tumuli, are dotted along Yamanobe-no-Michi Trail.

Concept of the establishment

With the aim of creating a place where people can enjoy body-friendly meals in a calm and unhurried mood, Restaurant Rokuyaon tries to use safe and fresh local ingredients (including vegetables harvested in the agricultural farm on the campus). The restaurant boils edible dried kelp, bonito, dried mackerel, and other ingredients to make a flavorful natural stock used for simple side dishes with a moderate amount of salt and sugar.
