Kakimotoya is a Japanese inn with a restaurant located on Mt. Shigi, where the head temple of a Buddhist sect is located as well and known for Bishamonten, the Buddhist deity of war. Kongo-Ikoma Quasi-National Park, which has an area of approximately 20,000 m2, is seen from Kakimotoya. Customers can relax while seeing the magnificent scenery that changes its appearance in the four seasons.

Kakimotoya is a long-established inn that was founded more than 100 years ago. Customers can walk from the inn to Shigisan Chogosonshi-ji Temple, which is related to Prince Shotoku, a member of the imperial clan. Furthermore, it takes approximately 15 minutes by car to Horyu-ji Temple, a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nara.

Concept of the establishment

Customers can see cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, and red leaves in autumn, and enjoy the rich, natural appearance of Mt. Shigi, which is designated as a quasi-national park. Customers can see the complete view of the Yata Hills and the Yamato Basin in the distance, and enjoy the taste of the cuisine served by the long-established inn that was founded a little more than 110 years ago. One of the guestrooms is provided with an open-air bath. An affordable one-day course is available as well.
