Nara Pref-Japan
YOUNG LEADERS’ RETREAT
The retreat to nurture young Asian leaders was held for the first time in Nara in April 2011.
Purpose
One-week retreat is held for young Asian people (mainly those who are in their 30’s) selected from past scholarships or human resource development projects conducted by foundations such as the Nippon Foundation and The Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
The program encourages young Asians to continue interacting with the alumni of the same projects, as well as to create new relationships with those from different projects. Ultimately, it aims to nurture new Asian leaders who are capable of contributing to build a better Asia.
