Geographic features

Surrounded by high mountains rising 3,000m high, Nagano Prefecture is called the rooftop of Japan. A landlocked prefecture bordering eight prefectures.
Japan has eight water systems which originate in Nagano. The flatlands in Nagano are located among these rivers and divided into six regions.
